[edit] Campus Energy Database

CSULA has installed Johnson Controls electronic power meters across the campus. The data collected on the campus power consumption is placed into a database which is not user friendly for data presentation. The team will create a secure on-line access interface which will enable the campus facilities to effectively monitor campus energy consumption in real-time as well as to generate reports for long-term evaluations.

[edit] ECST Solar and Wind Power Park

The team will complete the design and installation of the ECST Solar and Wind Power Park in collaboration with the college technical staff. The system design will include the solar panels and wind turbine and the power grid feeding system. An option should be provided to utilize the system in the instructional context. Currently available power conversion equipment is undersized for the system capacity and will require proposals for additional capacity. In addition, the team will create a computer interface which will allow data streaming and collection on the system performance.
