Hello Pamela,

'fraid I'm way out of my depth in the biology stuff - which might be a bad admission to make!!

The one question that sprang out at me having read your paper may strike you as a strange one, but I suspect it is because of my reading of other papers - do you see any need for a "system of systems" biology?

In our understanding of 'systems' in the engineering world we have, of course, learned much from natural systems - so is there such a thing as a natural "system of systems" or is that just stupid?
