| Syllabus | Hopcroft, et. al., Introduction to Automata Theory, languages, and Computation. Chapters 1-7. |
| Grading | There will be one midterm and a
final. Although not a formula, the midterm and final will be
weighted equally. Additional consideration will be given to the quality
of your homeworks, reliability, timeliness, class participation, etc.
When deciding on a grade I will be asking myself this question: based on your performance in this class, to what extent would I recommend you for work in this area. Your grade is the one (or two) character letter of recommendation I will write in answer to that question. |
